ARCH is a national network of patients (organisations) and healthcare providers involved in the complex care of rare systemic autoimmune diseases.

Specialist expertise knowledge on rare diseases is often hard to find, both for patients and healthcare providers. Therefore, ARCH has developed the expertise consultation portal (ECP) to support multidisciplinary collaborations and promote expertise advice. ARCH also organises the national working groups for various systemic autoimmune diseases.

These strengthen cooperation between patients and practitioners from dozens of different hospitals and stimulate research into these complex diseases, which is essential for the development of new guidelines and treatments. Training and knowledge sharing on systemic autoimmune diseases between patients, practitioners and researchers is also supported by ARCH. Participation of patients with these rare diseases is secured at ARCH through collaboration with patient associations.

To share knowledge effectively, ARCH also organises accredited continuing education in the form of ARCH TV and the national ARCH Day.

Through healthcare improvement, science and knowledge sharing, ARCH bridges the gap between all people with and practitioners of complex, systemic autoimmune diseases.
